Malta

Malta is exactly the point.

We chose this island to build one of the world’s most-played strategy franchises, and we have not looked back since.

What We Do

Twin Harbour Interactive builds strategy games with staying power. The Supremacy franchise has reached over 90 million players and is still growing, run by a team that treats live service not as maintenance work but as craft.

Our Malta studio is where Supremacy: WW3 is run, the largest title in the franchise, while the team here contributes across the broader Supremacy portfolio alongside our sister studio in Hamburg. Two studios, one shared ambition: to keep building strategy worlds that players return to for years.

Running a live strategy game with millions of active players means the work is always in contact with reality. You are not shipping into a void; you are adjusting, responding, and designing for people who care deeply about what you do.

The Team

Thirty-something nationalities, and somehow everyone has an opinion on where to eat.

We are a genuinely mixed crew, not in the corporate-brochure sense but in the sense that on any given Thursday, lunch conversation might shift between three languages before anyone notices. People came here from Berlin, Lisbon, Warsaw, Cairo, and a few places you would struggle to place on a map quickly.

We take the work seriously, and most of us are here because we love strategy games as much as we love making them. What builds on top of that is a team where friendships form naturally, not just working relationships. If you value who you work with as much as what you work on, that is something we can honestly offer.

Malta

Malta

Malta sits at the heart of the Mediterranean and enjoys three hundred sunny days a year. People swim before work, explore Valletta’s baroque streets and know their favourite pastizzi flavour, dive spot, and village festa by the end of their first few months.

English and Maltese are both official languages here, making it one of the few EU countries where you can arrive, work, and build a social life from day one without needing to learn a new language first. As an EU member state it removes most of the practical friction of relocating internationally: your qualifications transfer, your rights are protected, your paperwork is manageable.

The studio, day to day

We thought about the practical things.

San Ġiljan can be called Malta’s tech district, and our office sits 50 metres from the sea. Our office space has a full kitchen and shower, and steps away you will find a gym with a swimming pool, spa, and sauna. We also have parking at Balluta Bay for those who need it. The quality of a working day is not just about what is on your screen.

We invest in people staying and growing here, not just arriving. We encourage the team to upgrade their skillset, offer ways to learn about industry standards and give opportunities for career progression

We work on a hybrid model. We work hybrid, typically two to three days in the office each week. There is no rigid formula: the work and the team shape that better than a policy can. What we ask is that when you are in, you are actually there, and when you are remote, you are genuinely set up to do your best work.

Relocation

We have done this before, and we will walk you through it.

Moving countries is a project, and we treat it like one. Visa and relocation support are part of the package, along with a broader set of benefits covering health, wellbeing, commuting, and the everyday things that make a new place feel like home. EU candidates benefit from a straightforward and fast process. For Third Country Nationals, we review applications on a case by case basis, with EU candidates generally preferred given the faster processing involved.

You and your family will not be figuring this out alone.

Curious before you commit?

We are happy to connect you with someone on the team for an honest conversation, not a recruiter call, but a chat with someone who made the move themselves.
